Texas native, Jayma Compton, currently lives in lower Manhattan. She earned a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas. Along with photography her interests in art include illustration, jewelry making and collage. In answer to the question, "What are your trying to do with photography at this time?", she says "Having been recently transplanted to New York, photography has been a means to gaining an introduction to the city on an intimate level. Going out to search for images has given a face to the city and continues to provide me with a fresh perspective and a sense of wonder as I become more familiar with it."
